Arfvedsonite gets its name from Johan August Arfvedson who first discovered it in 1823. This stone is of volcanic origin and displays blue amphibole mineral blasts within a black mafic matrix material. Arfvedsonite is found in Quebec, Greenland, and Russia’s Kola Peninsula.
